About The Organized Times

In the fall of 2008, Florence Feldman, at age 64, was given the Organized Times as an answer to prayer. She now looks forward to using it to help people experience greater organization in their lives, hearts, and homes.

Of course, no large task like a website can be accomplished single handedly. Florence's much younger friends (Katherine, Cris, Josh, and Seth) are helping her make this all possible.

What We Offer

Currently, we offer a free e-zine, phone coaching/virtual organizing, and a resource library with various articles and links. It's our goal to begin to build a body of knowledge on this website that will include details about the process of organization, as well as specifics for different types of people (moms, kids, caregivers, elderly, etc.).

About Florence Feldman

Florence Feldman is a professional organization consultant who has been helping individuals overcome disorder and live more productively for more than 25 years. She was one of the first professional organizers in the country, as well as one of the first organizer to have subcontractors. Her own struggles with disorder as a young wife and mother have given her a passion for sharing the life-changing truths and techniques about getting and staying organized she discovered along the way.

Florence's Story in Her Own Words

I was raised in a household with a very efficient mother and a full-time maid. I never did chores. When I got married at 19, I did not know how to work a washer or a dryer. My husband had to teach me. His mother and father both worked, so he knew how to do lots of things. But I didn't. I could barely boil an egg. It was a big challenge for me to cook and keep house. I felt sorry for myself and dreamed of a better life somewhere other than where I was. Running away from my problems was my solution.

I was divorced at 28 with two young children. Life went from hard to really hard. I went from having a cleaning lady to being one (I had learned to clean by this time). I went to college and was on welfare. I graduated college at age 32.

At the same time life became harder, in other ways life became very, very simple. I got rid of almost all I owned as a suburban housewife and focused on surviving and taking care of my children. I discovered my stuff didn't overwhelm me anymore. Eventually, I started helping other people get organized and became an organizing consultant.

That was all a LONG time ago. Now my children are grown, and I have three wonderful grandchildren. I'm now looking forward to using this website and modern technology to help you have "more time, less stress, and better quality of family life."™
